The Double V Campaign was a slogan used to promote the fight for democracy in oversea campaigns as well as at home in the United States for African Americans during WWII. 2. The Double V Campaign stood for two victories: a victory at home and a victory abroad. 3. February 7, 1942, was a day that changed America. The idea behind the slogan was that while African American soldiers fought for freedom abroad, the Double V Campaign fought for freedom for African Americans at home.
