Hello, Im new here and need some help. My ls swap project is my 98 1500, swapped in a cammed LQ9. I followed Brendan step by step on lt1swap to strip both the ls & obs harness and then merge them. Using the obs fuse block and made my own stand alone relay/fuse block to power the LS harness. I...Since 2500 LSx Suburbans in GMT800 are either (1) sacked out beyond belief, (2) unobtainum priced, or (3) non-existant I'm thinking a GMT400 1/2 Suburban. There's a local one, an L29, complete with harness and ECU for like 700 bucks. It would drop onto your mounts and fit just fine, it would be a pretty easy swap. The only real hangup is the 1500, your 10 bolt and 700R4 would die sooner than later. Dropping in a 4l80 at the same time and a SF 14B would be pretty easy as well, not much you can …Feb 9, 2012 · Remove all the emissions pins from the LS1 harness. If you are using a 4l60 with your LS engine and the vehicle you are working on had a 4l60 then keep the factory transmission pins and swap them into the LS harness. If you are using a 4l80 then use the transmission pigtail harness you have (assumedly a 6.0/4l80 takeout). I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. New to the forum, wanted to hopefully help others out as I searched forever trying to find if the speed engineering headers fit my ls swap before I bit the bullet and bought them and could not, ended up taking a chance and they fit almost perfectly, (drivers side was a little close to frame and had to tweak it inwards 1/8” maybe) ….

If not then L96 + 6Lxx tranny, the L96 and 6l90 will probably take more work to integrate, so it'll be more expensive. The 6l90 (or 80) would just be awesome in a gmt400.
