The 310-8's never got the row of idiot lights on the dash tower. Instead they had a single low-oil light. In 1993 I think they eliminated the light but used the same low-oil switch in the engine and the relay to control the starter - just no light. They were also using a different ignition switch plus a seat relay to control the ignition.The 111216 switch is for battery ignition used on the tractor models with the Onan engine. The 310-8 shares a parts list with the Onan powered tractors so both part numbers show up. The starter circuit uses 1/2 of the pto switch plus the clutch pedal switch and then the low oil circuit. If that doesn't fix it, bypass the clutch switch. Once you have determined which switch is the culprit, hook the other switch back up and make sure it still works. Go to the pinned links under wheel horse tractor, you will see one that says something about the fourth line down, click on that one. Then on the 4th line down put in 310, go down to the transmission speed and enter 8 speed, find your model ... My 310-8 gets more work than all my other horses with gas mileage as a bonus. As a side note it’s my humble opinion that the single Kohler 8 speed tractors are some of the most durable wheel horses ever built. That one inch axle is laughing at you. May 31, 2012 · I have searched the data bank and owners manual and cant find a belt length for the 42" rd deck on my 310-8. would anyone happen to know? it is a 1/2" v belt, with one side of the mule drive pulley flat, and the other side is a v pulley.
